Learn to Quilt at Home (Free Motion Quilting)

Description

Date: March 17th

Time: 10 am- 1 pm (You will have access to your sewing station from 9am – 4pm)

Location: Makers Lodge, 428 Ramsay Concession 8

Teacher: Christine McDowell, local quilter

Level: Intermediate

During this sewing day, Christine will teach the options for how to quilt at home! If you have a machine with free motion capability that you would like to bring to class, this is a great opportunity to do so!

Skill Requirements:

  • independent use of a sewing machine
  • ironing

Provided in class:

  • Sewing machine, based on your selection
  • Cutting mats
  • rotary cutters
  • Sewing box scissors, clips, etc.
  • iron, ironing board
  • thread
  • Fabrics Required for Class

This class will be taught on the upper level at Makers Lodge. You may book to use machines here or to bring your own machine. Assistance is available for carrying sewing machines.

There is a washroom on site with a composting toilet.

Coffee/Tea/Soda is available in studio. Lunch may be added to your booking.

Bookings are non-refundable, but are transferrable to another maker.
