Makers Lodge is a Fibre Arts Studio and storefront, which is located just outside of Carleton Place, ON. It is situated on a large country property, and the studio is a 2000 sq ft log building.

Owned and operated by Christine and her family, Makers Lodge is a community based business which thrives on having makers in studio working alongside each other. Focusing on open stitch time and monthly projects for all to join, this relaxing space provides a place to learn, grown and create.

Studio Time and Classes

Project of the Month (POM)

Yarn

Fabric

Accessories

Time spent in the studio is a HUGE part of what Makers Lodge was built to achieve – a community of makers of all levels and fibre arts, coming together to share knowledge and learning.

Find information below on Yarn crafts and Sewing Times.

Classes are on pause for the summer, and new classes will be added for the fall.

We encourage all to join the POMs, as these provide a casual “class” time and learning potential, focused around a special project each month.

We host monthly slipper classes, and several needle felting classes throughout the year (taught by Wendo) that have been a huge success.

We are also working to expand our line of charity studio events.

These POMs are quickly becoming an incredible focus and point of excitement throughout the Makers Lodge community.

There are 3 POMs each month:

  1. Yarny POM for knit, or crochet
  2. Sewing POM
  3. Laser Cut POM, which is typically an embroidery disc.

A POM is a selected project that we can all work on through the month. Often special products will be brought in, and there are outlined times during our regular studio bookings that are used for focusing on making the projects.

Any members that complete the POM by the 5th day of the following Month, using Makers Lodge supplies, are entered to win a prize.
