The large metal ball winder by Stanwood Needlecraft is THE heavy duty ball winder to have! With a capacity of 10oz (285g) this winder can handle even the bulkiest of skeins. It clamps easily on to surfaces up to 2 1/8″ thick.
This winder is the same model that I have personally owned for years and even with daily use in the yarn studio, my winder is still in perfect condition. It truly is built to last!

Best ball winder I have used. It is solid, sturdy and fastens to a table without wobbling around. I was so pleased with this I bought one for my daughter too. I had one that was much cheaper but it wouldn’t fasten to the table tightly enough, and the inside mechanism broke, creating a mess of yarn. This one was well worth the price.
