Basic Serger Maintenance with Skipped Stitches

Date: Saturday December 13th, 1 pm – 4 pm

Are you frustrated by your serger? Does your serger behave nicely for others but it seems to have it in for you? This class will help decode your serger for you. We will start off by learning about how a machine makes a stitch and what can cause it to not make that stitch properly. We will talk about common issues with machines and what they might be caused by. We will also go over basic cleaning for your machine (and will clean our machines). We will troubleshoot any issues you might be having. While this course will focus on basic, mechanical Juki sergers, any machine brand sergers are welcomed as long as they are NOT air threading sergers.

Bring your machine, your manual, examples of any problems you have been having, fresh needles and thread/fabric for testing.

***Notes: you will not be learning to preform full maintenance on your machine in this class. Air threading sergers are not suitable for this particular class.
