Learn to Knit Class

THIS IS AN IN PERSON CLASS.

Makers Lodge Studio – 428 Ramsay Concession 8, Carleton Place

This class has 3 sessions with 3 hours each session: January 25th 2025, February 8th 2025, and February 22nd 2025.

10 am – 1 pm

**Note: All 3 sessions are booked under the first date (January 25th, 2025)**

This class will be taught by Lauren and Christine will act as assistant.

Instruction will be given to complete 3 projects: A dishcloth, a coffee cup sleeve, and a pair of pocketbook slippers.

Yarn included in the class fee: A skein of coastal cotton in the colourway of choice, a skein of Ella Rae Rustic Aran in colourway of choice.

Accessories available for use in class: scissors, tapestry needles, stitch markers

Required for class: 4.5 mm or 5 mm straight needles, or circular needles (these needles can be used for all three projects throughout the course) You may purchase these at the beginning of the first class when you select yarns if you would like.

Class Structure:

9:30 -10 am: arrive and gather, make tea, choose supplies

10 – 11:30 am: Class will take place on the second level for instruction and course material

11:30 am – 1:00 pm: guided knitting time to develop skills. Students are welcome to join the community knitting group that gathers on the main level if they would like.

There is a modern composting toilet washroom on site, and coffee/tea/soda is available to students.

Classes are non-refundable, but are transferrable to another student.
