THIS IS AN IN-PERSON BOOKING
Dates:
June 15th, 9-4pm
June 22nd, 9-4pm
June 28th, 9-4pm
This sewing time is for community members to work alongside one another to sew their choice of dress for the June POM (Project of the Month). There will be a guide sewist in the group to help out.
We recommend working on one of the recommended patterns for the Project of the Month:
– Hinterland Dress by Sew Liberated (Women, Woven)
– Stasia Dress by Sew Liberated (Women, Knit)
– Dandelion Dress by Peony Patterns (Child, Woven)
– Aria Bow Dress by Simple Life (Child, Knit)
Included with the facilities:
– Machines, based on your machine choice
– Cutting tables with rotary cutters, scissors, and rulers
– Sewing station box: Sewing clips, darning needles, thread scissors, forceps, seam ripper, soft tape
– Thread cones (multiple colours, but no guarantee on colour)
– Coverstitch machines
– Studio materials: pins, marking pencils, various sewing notions
– Ironing board and Iron
Required for class:
– A pattern that you have purchased. If planning to trace a Makers Lodge AO, proof of purchase of that pattern is required
– Tracing paper if you are tracing here
– Fabric appropriate for the dress you are sewing, washed and ready to cut
Skill Requirements:
– independent use of the machine type booked
Level: Advanced/Adventurous Beginner
This space booking is for the upper level of the Makers Lodge Studio. Accessible sewing space is available on the lower level.
Coffee, tea, water and light snacks are available. There is a washroom on site.
Lunch may be added to your booking. Sandwich and Salad options are from Tea and Cake in Almonte, and will be delivered to you at lunchtime!
Bookings are non-refundable, but are transferable to another sewer.
